Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Praises Bhairon Singh Shekhawat’s Legacy

Date:

Jaipur, Rajasthan – In a recent statement, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma praised the late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, former Vice President of India and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, for his pioneering work in implementing Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s ‘Antyoday’ concept.

Bhairon Singh Shekhawat ji was the first in the country to implement Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s ‘Antyoday’,” said Sharma. “We are following his footprints who established the BJP in the state and gave this state a direction.”

The ‘Antyoday’ concept, which translates to ‘upliftment of the last person’, was a key principle of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It emphasizes the importance of improving the lives of the most disadvantaged members of society.

Shekhawat, who served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times, is widely credited with strengthening the BJP’s presence in the state. His efforts to implement the ‘Antyoday’ concept have had a lasting impact on Rajasthan’s development policies.

Sharma’s comments reflect a continued commitment to these principles. “We are committed to carrying forward Shekhawat ji’s legacy and continue to strive for the upliftment of every citizen in the state,” he added.

The Chief Minister’s statement comes at a time when the state government is working on several initiatives aimed at social and economic development, particularly for the most disadvantaged sections of society
