Jaipur: Passengers traveling by train in Rajasthan can look forward to a significantly enhanced travel experience over the next two years, thanks to the ambitious redevelopment plans under the Amrit Bharat scheme. A total of 86 railway stations across the state will be upgraded, introducing modern facilities and improved amenities for travelers.

The Amrit Bharat scheme, aimed at transforming railway stations into more comfortable and efficient transit hubs, will see extensive renovations at stations served by both the West Central Railways and North Western Railways. This initiative is set to elevate the infrastructure and service quality at stations throughout Rajasthan.

The redevelopment will impact major railway stations in key cities including Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Sriganganagar, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur. In addition to these prominent locations, the upgrade will also extend to numerous smaller and less frequented stations, reflecting a comprehensive approach to enhancing rail travel across the state.

Passengers can expect a range of modernized amenities as part of the station upgrades. These will include improved waiting areas, better sanitation facilities, enhanced safety features, and more accessible services, all designed to make travel more comfortable and efficient.

The initiative is a significant step towards modernizing railway infrastructure in Rajasthan, aligning with broader goals of improving passenger experiences and boosting operational efficiency. As the redevelopment progresses, these upgraded stations are poised to offer a more pleasant and streamlined travel experience for rail passengers throughout the state.
