Rajasthan CM Reviews Border Security Amid Rising Tensions

Date:

In response to the heightened tension along the India-Pakistan border, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to assess the situation and ensure preparedness.

The meeting was attended by top officials including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police, Director General of Intelligence, and the Additional Director General of Law and Order. The focus was on reviewing current security arrangements and directing officials to be on high alert, especially in sensitive border districts like Jaisalmer and Barmer.

Sources indicate that the CM stressed the need for close coordination between the police, intelligence units, and local administration to prevent any breach of security. The deployment of additional forces, emergency services, and logistical support to assist the armed forces was also discussed.

This urgent review follows recent attempted drone attacks from across the border, which were successfully neutralised by the Indian Army. CM Sharma reiterated the state’s commitment to standing firmly with the armed forces and ensuring the safety of civilians in the affected areas.

The Rajasthan government is expected to continue monitoring the situation closely and may announce further steps to bolster preparedness in the coming days.
