Union Minister CR Patil Meets Vice President Dhankhar Over Rajasthan Water Crisis

New Delhi — Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar yesterday to discuss the pressing issue of water supply in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Churu districts.

The meeting focused on addressing the growing water scarcity in the region, with discussions centering around long-term solutions and the need for enhanced infrastructure to support sustainable water distribution.

The Vice President, who hails from Rajasthan, was briefed on the current challenges and potential interventions under the Jal Shakti Ministry’s ongoing schemes.

This high-level dialogue comes amid rising public concern over water shortages across parts of the state, particularly in arid zones.
