Jaipur: Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Monday welcomed the Union Budget 2026, describing it as a pivotal step towards realizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’—a developed and prosperous India. She emphasized that the Budget is designed to accelerate economic growth and lay a solid foundation for the country’s future.

Speaking to the media, Kumari said, “This budget has been presented with the aim of laying the foundation for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by giving momentum to the economy.” She expressed confidence that the government’s long-term vision will help transform India into a major global power, a dream that will benefit every citizen across the nation.

The Deputy Chief Minister also spoke about Rajasthan’s own budgetary plans, highlighting their alignment with the national development agenda. “The budget we have prepared this time will be based entirely on our vision of what kind of Rajasthan we want to see in 2047,” she said. Kumari pointed out that the state budget is crafted with a futuristic outlook, focusing on sustainable growth, infrastructure development, social welfare, and economic empowerment.

Kumari’s remarks reflect a growing synergy between the Union and Rajasthan governments as both prepare for ambitious developmental goals aimed at the country’s centenary of independence. She emphasized that such vision-driven budgeting is crucial for tackling challenges related to employment, education, healthcare, and rural development.

According to Kumari, the Union Budget’s emphasis on sectors like health, education, infrastructure, and employment generation resonates with Rajasthan’s priorities and will provide the necessary impetus to fast-track the state’s progress. She called for collaborative efforts between the Centre and the states to ensure the effective implementation of policies that will shape a prosperous and inclusive future.

With this optimistic outlook, Diya Kumari’s comments underscore the commitment of Rajasthan’s leadership to contribute meaningfully to India’s larger developmental journey, ensuring that the benefits of growth reach all sections of society while paving the way for a modern, self-reliant, and globally competitive India by 2047.
