Mumbai-Delhi Expressway Opens Between Kota and Dausa, Travel Time Reduced Significantly

Date:

Dausa, Rajasthan: The Mumbai-Delhi Expressway stretch between Kota and Dausa has been opened for traffic, offering major relief to commuters. Authorities have confirmed that the remaining stretch between Dausa and Kota will also be fully operational by March. Currently, minor construction work is underway on a few kilometers between Kota and Sawai Madhopur, which is expected to be completed soon.

With the opening of the expressway, passengers traveling from Kota to Dausa are already experiencing significant time savings.

240 Km Distance Covered at High Speed

The distance between Kota and Dausa via the expressway is approximately 240 kilometers. The maximum permitted speed on this stretch is 120 km per hour, enabling faster and smoother travel.

The travel time from Kota to Bhandarej Interchange is estimated to be around two to two-and-a-half hours without the need for intermediate stops. The distance between Bhandarej Interchange and Kota has also been reduced, further enhancing connectivity.

Big Relief for Students and Festive Travelers

The new expressway route comes as a major relief for hundreds of students from Dausa district who are pursuing coaching in Kota. With Holi holidays approaching, traveling home will now be faster and more convenient.

Additionally, travelers heading from Kota to Delhi will benefit from direct access to the expressway through the Lavan Interchange. Vehicles will no longer need to exit at toll plazas, eliminating delays and long traffic jams.

No More Toll Plaza Bottlenecks

Earlier, heavy congestion was common at the Lavan toll plaza, especially during festivals and holiday seasons. The new direct-entry system allows vehicles from Kota to seamlessly merge onto the expressway toward Delhi without interruption.

Commuters traveling to Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, and Delhi will now experience smoother traffic flow, reduced travel time, and lower fuel consumption.

Improved Safety and Connectivity

With the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway connectivity, the Kota to Delhi journey has become safer, faster, and more efficient compared to previous routes. The project is expected to boost regional connectivity, improve logistics movement, and support economic growth across Rajasthan.

The full operationalization of the remaining stretch in March is anticipated to further enhance travel convenience for thousands of daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
