UP CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Immediate Relief for Farmers Hit by Unseasonal Rain

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday reviewed the situation of farmers affected by unseasonal rainfall across several districts and directed officials to ensure immediate relief and support.

Seeks Detailed Reports from District Magistrates

The Chief Minister has sought comprehensive reports from District Magistrates regarding crop damage caused by unexpected rains. He emphasized that farmers’ issues must be addressed on a priority basis, warning against any negligence.

Officials Asked to Stay on High Alert

Yogi Adityanath instructed all concerned officials to remain in alert mode, ensuring that farmers facing adverse weather conditions do not encounter any difficulties. He reiterated that farmers’ welfare remains the government’s top priority.

Joint Survey Ordered for Damage Assessment

The CM directed that a joint survey be conducted immediately by:

  • Revenue Department
  • Agriculture Department
  • Insurance companies

The findings are to be submitted to the state government promptly to facilitate quick compensation for affected farmers.

Emphasis on Sensitivity and Ground-Level Assessment

He urged officials to work with sensitivity and accountability, and personally visit affected areas to assess the real situation on the ground. The goal is to ensure that no farmer is left without assistance.

Instructions to Expedite Relief Measures

The Chief Minister also directed the Principal Secretary (Agriculture) and the Relief Commissioner to maintain close coordination with field अधिकारियों and ensure timely flow of information to speed up relief operations.

Time-Bound Compensation Process

Yogi Adityanath ordered that once crop damage assessment is completed, the compensation process should begin immediately. He stressed that payments must be made in a time-bound manner to provide quick relief to affected farmers.
