Ministry of Law and Justice Concludes Reforms Utsav & Chintan Shivir 2026 at Mount Abu, Rajasthan

Rajasthan: On July 4–5, 2026, at Gyan Sarovar in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, The Legislative Department and the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Law and Justice jointly organized a two-day ‘Reform Utsav and Chintan Shivir 2026’.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice. Addressing senior officials, he emphasized the need for a modern, technology-driven, and citizen-centric legal system. He encouraged them to review recent achievements and formulate a roadmap for reforms with a focus on the future. Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary of both departments, presented the Ministry’s vision of building an efficient, accessible, and future-ready legal system aligned with the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.

This program included separate sessions on legal governance, legislative reform, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, technology-based governance, and institutional capacity building. Following deliberations, a comprehensive vision document outlining key reform proposals and implementation measures was prepared.

During the concluding session, Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary of the Legislative Department and the Department of Legal Affairs, released a ‘Sankalp Patra’. It outlines the collective reform agenda and commitments that emerged from the two-day ‘Chintan Shivir’.

The Union Minister congratulated officials from both departments on the successful organization of ‘Sudhar Utsav’ and ‘Chintan Shivir 2026’ and commended their contributions toward developing a modern, technology-driven, and citizen-centric legal system. The event reaffirmed the Ministry of Law and Justice’s commitment to innovation, transparency, institutional excellence, and collaborative policy-making in furtherance of the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.
